Position Description
*Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychotherapy and be skilled in providing clinical counseling to individuals, couples, and families. This role requires a commitment to supporting clients through various challenges, including mental health issues, relationship difficulties, and addiction. The LMFT will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care while adhering to ethical standards and HIPAA regulations.
*Responsibilities*
– Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for clients.
– Provide psychotherapy services in individual, couple, and family settings.
– Utilize crisis intervention techniques to support clients in acute distress.
– Offer addiction counseling and support clients in recovery processes.
– Maintain accurate medical documentation and ensure compliance with coding standards.
– Implement behavior management strategies tailored to client needs.
– Work with individuals on the autism spectrum, providing specialized therapeutic interventions.
– Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance therapeutic skills.
– Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients.
– All other related duties, as required or assigned.
*Skills*
– Proficient in psychotherapy techniques and modalities.
– Strong crisis management skills with the ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations.
– Knowledgeable in addiction counseling principles and practices.
– Familiarity with crisis intervention strategies.
– Understanding of coding practices related to clinical documentation.
– In-depth knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ethical standards in therapy.
– Experience in clinical counseling with diverse populations.
– Skills in behavior management techniques for various client needs.
– Ability to document medical information accurately and comprehensively.
*Requirements*
– Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related from an accredited institution.
– Valid state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
– Experience in case management, behavioral therapy, or related fields is preferred.
– Strong skills in patient assessment and the ability to develop effective treatment strategies.
– Knowledge of working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
– Familiarity with geriatrics and the specific needs of older adults is advantageous.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
– Commitment to providing compassionate care and advocating for clients’ needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
