North Side Christian Health Center is a comprehensive primary healthcare center established in 1993. NSCHC serves all patients without regard for their ability to pay. We serve everyone seeking the best care available with a special concern for their religious beliefs, ethnic and cultural background, language spoken, age, sex, and disability status. Our staff provides primary and preventive medical care for patients of all ages, mental and behavioral health services, dental care, and case management. We also have on-site lab services and for uninsured patients provide access to low-cost medications.

The EFDA is responsible for performing those expanded function supportive dental duties that assist dentists and hygienists in the care and treatment of patients.

QUALIFICATIONS

* Graduate of a state-approved EFDA program
* State certification in expanded functions by the PA Board of Dentistry
* Must have current knowledge of and practice experience in dental assisting
* Must be able to bend, stretch and lift items up to 20 lbs.
* Current BCLS certification
* Current Radiology certification
* Current OSHA/HIPPA certification
* Proficiency in EDR software (Dentrix, Open Dental, eClinical Works, Dexis)
* Act 33 with renewal
* Act 34 with renewal
* Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
* Proof of COVID-19 vaccination
* Annual influenza vaccine
