Medical Laboratory Scientist

The Laboratory consists of seven (7) departments, each providing a full range of laboratory testing and services which includes: Transfusion Services, Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry, Urinalysis, Phlebotomy, Microbiology and Send-Outs. Through automation and data processing advancements, we are able to provide the most sophisticated, quality-oriented services in the area. The laboratory employs more than 30 highly trained professionals: Medical Laboratory Scientists, Technicians, Laboratory Assistants, Phlebotomists and support staff.
The laboratory provides clinical testing services 24 hours per day, seven (7) days a week for the outpatient, inpatient services and the satellite clinics: LeChee Health Center and Sacred Peaks Health Center.

Education & Experience Requirements:

__Education:__

A Bachelor’s degree in a laboratory, chemical, physical, biological science, Allied Health, Healthcare, or Healthcare Management related field AND shall have completed at least 35 hours of coursework across various subjects related to clinical laboratory sciences such as biological science, microbiology, organic chemistry, biochemistry, mathematics, etc.

__License/Certification:__

Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Science certification from a nationally recognized certification agency must be obtained within eighteen (18) months of hire. Certification must remain unexpired, in good standing, for the duration of employment.

__Experience:__

One (1) year documented bench experience in each specialty of clinical, high complexity testing.

Hourly Rate: $34 to $51

Compensation Range:

$50,000 – $100,000
