Job Summary and Qualifications

# Under the direct supervision of the Section Supervisor/Coordinator,

performs all technical procedures, maintains knowledge of all procedures and
protocols. Maintains proficiency in performance of technical procedures.
Testing is provided for patients with many different clinical conditions (from
screening of healthy outpatients to the major, complex intensive care
patients). Testing is provided for all age ranges from newborns to geriatric
patients. Processes specimens. Performs requisition entry and reports results.
Performs required quality control and function verification of equipment.
Communicates with other allied health care professional according to job
requirements.
What qualifications you will need:

• NCA Certified Lab Specialist, or Medical Lab Scientist must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date
• Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree
• Prefer 1- 2 yrs. of clinical laboratory experience
• Prefer a working knowledge of antigen/antibody reactions, use of blood components, compatibility testing, and regulations
