Position Description
We are seeking a dedicated Mental Healthcare Triage Provider to join our team. As a Triage Provider, you will play a crucial role in assessing and evaluating the mental health needs of individuals seeking assistance.
This position requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Duties:
Conduct initial assessments of individuals seeking mental health services
Perform triage evaluations to determine the urgency and severity of mental health concerns
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans – Provide crisis intervention and support to individuals in acute distress
Offer guidance and education to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and available resources
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans – Adhere to all legal and ethical guidelines, including HIPAA regulations
Experience:
Previous experience in a mental healthcare setting is required
Knowledge of various mental health disorders, treatment modalities, and evidence-based practices
Familiarity with crisis intervention techniques and risk assessment protocols
Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality requirements
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for individuals with mental health concerns
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients from diverse backgrounds
Proficient in using electronic medical records systems for documentation purposes
