Job Summary and Qualifications

The Nurse Manager of Emergency Services is responsible for assistingthe

Administrative Director of Emergency Services with all departmental functions
in support of the hospital Mission, Vision and facility goals, and performance
improvement programs. The manager identifies the cost-effective systems needed
to support the business trends, resource availability and changes in
customers. This position establishes effective working relationships with all
constituencies, including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and
vendors. The manager identifies and remedies through continuous customer
satisfaction data and employee involvement. The department manager works with
Senior Management in meeting facility goals.
The RN Manager Emergency Services also acts as a coordinator of the Chest Pain
Center, with a focus on efficient care of ACS patients. As a member of the
Medical City McKinney team, the manager makes a significant contribution to
the public’s perception of the hospital. Performs additional tasks/activities
as assigned.

# What qualifications you will need:

* Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS and PALS provider

  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
  • Current RN licensure by the state of Texas or from a Compact State
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) required
  • MSN degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of recent management or quality management experience in an acute care facility required
  • Cardiovascular clinical experience preferred
  • Full Time Evening Shift M-F
