Position Purpose
Renown Health, Northern Nevada’s largest and only not-for-profit locally governed healthcare network is seeking OBGYN Physicians to join our highly successful medical group. Our dynamic, physician-led team across multiple sites. The OBGYN Physician will help teach medical students/residents as part of Renown’s Community Faculty with University of Nevada Reno Medical School.
PROGRAM & POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:
19 Physician Group with MFM and Uro Gyn support
Experienced CNM and APP providers to support group
Position is open due to organizational and community growth
Flexibility to grow practice between L&D, OR, and Clinic
Strong compensation package with value bonus
Up to $30,000 start-to-work bonus

Board certification and licensure costs covered
Paid Malpractice with 100% Tail Coverage
Dedicated Medical Assistant for each provider

Must possess and maintain a current and valid State of Nevada Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) medicine license. Controlled substance License to Prescribe issued by the State of Nevada and Controlled Substance Registration Certificate issued by the DEA, required.
Certification(s):
Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). If Provider is Board Eligible at time of hire, Board Certification must be obtained within two (2) years of employment.
Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Certification Life Support (ACLS) required. Prefer American Heart Association (AHA) approved certification, but will accept online certification from American Red Cross Training Services, Advanced Medical Certification, or ACLS Certification Institute.
Nature and Scope
The incumbent obtains history, examines, diagnoses, counsels, and treats patients within the physician’s area of specialty and experience. The incumbent makes critical decisions regarding medical care. The incumbent works closely and in cooperation with the management staff, directs comments and questions to the appropriate management person and follows administrative policies. The incumbent actively participates in physician governance meetings, management decisions, and follows policies adopted by the Renown Health and its medical staff. The incumbent stays abreast of current advances in medicine by reviewing recent publications, attending in-services and educational meetings, and attending continuing medical education programs in the appropriate field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Ability to function effectively in an integrated delivery system.
Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulatory rules;
Capable of operating business units in conformance with good quality and business practices as may be outlined by agencies such as JCAHO, NCQA, MGMA, etc.
Effective leadership skills (and leading by example);
Ability to obtain results with minimal disruption while involving a variety of internal and external groups.
Ability to work independently.
