Pediatrician

* Medical degree with preferred specialty in Pediatrics
* Current license to practice medicine from the State Medical Board of Ohio
* Board certification from the American Academy of Pediatrics preferred
* Preferred one year experience in pediatrics or other medical practice
* Ability to interact positively with others
* Willingness to accept the mission and goals of the Margaret B. Shipley Child Health Clinic, Inc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Staff Pediatrician for the Child Health Clinic is responsible for the medical program designed to maintain and improve the health of infants, children and adolescents; contributes to the overall efficiency and harmony of the clinic; responsible to the Executive Director and Medical Director of the Child Health Clinic.

FUNCTIONS

* Provides medical services at Child Health Clinic and within the community
* Responsible for medical policy and protocol compliance in accordance with the American Academy of Pediatrics, Child Health Clinic and federal and state public health mandates
* Provides clinical leadership and supervision for clinical staff
* Holds monthly clinical staff meetings and daily huddles
* Participates in medical training activities for affiliated residency programs
* Serves as a member of the Professional Advisory Committee
* Works with Executive Director in coordination of programs, strategy and community health involvement
* Remains aware of Child Health Clinic activities
* Participates in continuing medical education
