Job Summary and Qualifications

Role Summary: Interprets and evaluates appropriateness of physicians’
orders and is responsible for accuracy of final product. Communicates drug
information to all customers and provides pharmaceutical care.

# What qualifications you will need:

* Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy

• Preferred Education: A residency and/or Pharm.D. degree is preferred
• Required License: An active license to practice in North Carolina, or eligible to become licensed in North Carolina within 60 days
• Preferred Experience: Previous hospital experience and/or pharmacy residency is desirable

Mission Hospital McDowell is a community hospital with 25+ beds, including
five labor and delivery suites, serving McDowell County. Located in Marion,
North Carolina, we offer many specialties, including family medicine, internal
medicine, pediatrics, orthopedics, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, and
walk-in, non-emergency care at Mission My Care Now McDowell. Five of Mission
Hospital McDowell’s primary care practices have been recognized by the Centers
for Medicare & Medicaid Services as Rural Health Clinics. We have received
many awards, which include Leapfrog Group Best Performer for pediatric head
and pediatric body CT imaging, and an A grade for Patient Safety. Mission
