Our South Central Kansas Medical Center is seeking a professional and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the medication inventory, and maintaining patient records. Benefits * Medical Insurance- Three different plans to choose from * MASA- Medical Transportation Solutions * Health Reimbursement & Savings Account * Flex Spending Account/Dependent Care Spending Account * Dental & Vision * Identity Protection * Hospital Indemnity * Life Insurance * LTD/STD * Voluntary Life & AD&D * 403 (b) Retirement Plan- 4% employer contribution * ETO * EIB-Hospital contribution * 24-hour access to fitness center + family Key Responsibilities * Accurately fills physician orders, medication carts, stock requisitions, and automated dispensing machines. * Prepares sterile IV admixtures and parenteral nutrition using proper techniques. * Delivers medications and supplies to designated areas on schedule. * Assists with ordering, receiving, storing, returns, and recalls of medications and supplies. * Conducts and documents medication storage inspections; replaces outdated medications. * Repackages bulk medications into unit doses following proper procedures. * Refills and reconciles controlled substances per legal and facility guidelines. * Answers phones professionally, directs calls, and addresses inquiries. * Maintains accurate logs, records, and documentation. * Processes patient medication charges, credits, and interdepartmental billing. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent.
