Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is seeking full-time Women’s Health Nurse Practitioners (WHNP) and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM) to provide a broad range of services including but not limited to well woman care, prenatal care, contraceptive management and other routine Gynecologic services, and screening and treatment for sexually transmitted diseases. WHNPs and CNMs also provide selected services for male partners of their patients such as genetic counseling and STI treatment. WHNPs and CNMs practice under the supervision of the Director of Women’s Health Services, a Board-certified Obstetrician Gynecologist.

The Women’s Health Department provides care as part of a collaborative multidisciplinary healthcare team comprised of primary care clinicians (Pediatric, Internal/Adult Medicine, Family Medicine) and specialists (Endocrinology – Infectious Disease – Rheumatology – Podiatry). The healthcare team also includes medical case managers, nurses, and on-site pharmacy services.

While experience is desirable, many WHNPs and CNMs new to practice have developed satisfying and successful practices at GPHA. Qualified candidates will have the ability to work harmoniously as part of a healthcare team and excellent communication skills. Language fluency – especially in Spanish or Chinese – is desirable, but not required. GPHA provides interpreter support through interactive video and live interpreters.
