Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner: Orthopedic Surgery in Alpena

MyMichigan Medical Center Alpena has TWO excellent opportunities for a motivated Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join busy MyMichigan Orthopedic Surgery office of Kiel Beltnick, D.O., Jeff Dombroski, M.D., and Kristalyn Mauch, M.D.

Job responsibilities include direct patient care in office including evaluation and management of musculoskeletal injuries for new patients and follow-up patients, and in-office procedures such as joint injections. The candidate will be responsible for inpatient rounding, discharges, ER and inpatient consults, and back up OR. The anticipated schedule is primarily Monday – Friday and a minimum of 40 hours a week. Weekday hours may vary depending on case length and patient schedules. Percentage of outpatient and inpatient responsibilities will be based on the demands of the practice and are subject to change. This position will assist in supporting our strategy to offer orthopedic services in specialty clinic locations including but not limited to Oscoda, Lincoln, and/or Rogers City.

This Advanced Practice Provider (APP) must exercise the highest degree of professional judgment under the direction of a licensed physician. A self-starter who desires a busy practice would be ideal, as this is a fast-paced opportunity.

There is a robust onboarding and training program as well as a formal mentorship program to ensure that the APP is set up for success.
