Position Description

Opportunity for a primary care PA/FNP to join our team-oriented staff at a federally funded PCMH community health center in Faison, NC. Located halfway between Raleigh, NC and Wilmington, NC. NHSC Loan repayment possible. HPSA score is 20. Schedule is Monday – Friday 8-5. Our center also provides onsite health education, clinical social work, medical psychotherapy, marriage and family therapy. Through a telemedicine program with East Carolina University School of Medicine, specialists will assist our primary care providers in diagnosis and treatment as a cost-effective alternative to patient and physician travel.

The Advanced Practitioner (AP) position is responsible for providing outpatient primary care to all life cycles under the supervision of a qualified physician. The AP is responsible for practicing medicine as a Licensed Independent Practitioner within the scope of his or her supervising/collaborating physician’s practice and to the extent allowable by North Carolina Medical Board and the NC Board of Nursing.

A successful AP will be a collaborative partner with the Physician and exercise flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the practice, providing services to an average of 16-25+ patients per day. A person in this position must be strong enough in their skill set to work independently alone and collaboratively with other providers and staff.

Qualified applicants will be American trained and a graduate of an Accredited AP Program. New graduates will be considered, but a NC license or eligibility is required. Previous experience in an outpatient clinic is desirable, but not required.

Retirement- employer contributions- eligible on first anniversary of employment start date that includes at least 1000 hours of service. GMC will contribute 6 % of gross wages if you contribute 3 % or more bi-weekly.

– Paid Holidays (10 Days for full-time and 2 Days (Christmas) for part-time)
– Paid Time Off (PTO) accrues at the rate of 6.46 hours for full-time and 4.92 hours for part-time per bi-weekly pay period.
Full-time: 6.46 hours x 26 Pay Periods a year = 168.00 hours / by 8 hours = 21 days of PTO a year.
Part-time: 4.92 hours x 26 Pay Periods a year = 127.92 hours / 8 hours = 16 days of PTO a year.
