Position Description

As one of the leading community health care providers in St. Louis, Family Care Health Centers is dedicated to providing comprehensive primary health care services to the residents of St. Louis. With two state-of-the-art facilities in the metropolitan area, Family Care also works to improve the overall health of the communities it serves by reducing barriers to health care. Family Care provides care at a third site located within Places for People.

We are seeking full-time experienced Physicians to work as an integral role in our growing health care team environment and become part of the Medical Services Department. These positions are responsible for providing comprehensive primary care services for patient who receive health care at Family Care Health Centers. Provides comprehensive primary medical care including examinations, diagnosis, treatment, patient counseling, referral and medical follow-up, including lab result and diagnostic test interpretation. Providers consultation to Nurse Practitioners. Precepts medical students, medical residents, nurse practitioner students and physician assistant students. FCHC provides the highest quality of health care services to its patients in a dynamic setting. FCHC also provides a culture of teamwork, professionalism and mutual respect. The ideal candidates must be enthusiastic, motivated, hard-working and flexible, be able to multi-task, have a great attitude and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Physicians, in collaboration with the Medical Services Team, are accountable for assisting our patients toward their highest level of health. These positions require the ability to work a full-time schedule. These positions report directly to the Associate Medical Director(s).

_Requirements:_

*Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy required

*License to practice medicine in the State of Missouri and be in good standing required

*Drug licensed, including DEA and BNDD numbers required

*Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment numbers, including Medicare UPIN number required

*Board Eligible or Board Certified status preferred

*Completion of residency training program in primary care specialty preferred

*Work experience or strong desire to work in urban community health setting preferred
