Physician – Pediatrics Opportunity in North Carolina

Opportunity for a Pediatric physician to join our team-oriented staff at a federally funded PCMH community health center. Goshen Medical Center (GMC) in Faison, NC, is located halfway between Raleigh, NC and Wilmington, NC. NHSC Loan repayment possible. HPSA score is 18. Schedule is Monday – Friday, 8-5. Our center also provides onsite health education, clinical social work, medical psychotherapy, marriage and family therapy. Through a telemedicine program with East Carolina University Brody School of Medicine, specialists will assist our primary care providers in diagnosis and treatment as a cost-effective alternative to patient and physician travel. No call. Malpractice and tail insurance covered.

Diagnose, treat, and help prevent children’s diseases and injuries. Examine children regularly to assess their growth and development. Treat children who have minor illnesses, acute and chronic health problems, and growth and development concerns.

Perform assessments and diagnoses of patients and offer appropriate treatment. Provide care in age-appropriate manner. Review and develop patient educational material. Supervise medical students assigned to the clinic for the purposes of education. Develop and uphold a program for quality assurance within the clinic. Keep scheduled hours for extended clinic availability, and maintain schedule flexibility as the clinic expands.

MD or DO degree. 3-5+ years’ experience in pediatric medicine preferred. New graduates considered. Licensed in NC. Board certified through the American Board of Pediatrics DEA certified. Experience with EHR (Cloud craft) preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

– Paid Holidays (10 Days for full-time and 2 Days (Christmas) for part-time)
– Paid Time Off (PTO) accrues at the rate of 6.46 hours for full-time and 4.92 hours for part-time per bi-weekly pay period.
Full-time: 6.46 hours x 26 Pay Periods a year = 168.00 hours / by 8 hours = 21 days of PTO a year.
Part-time: 4.92 hours x 26 Pay Periods a year = 127.92 hours / 8 hours = 16 days of PTO a year.
– Continuing Medical Education (CME) is awarded at 4 days (32 hours) for full-time and 3 days (24 Hours) for part-time employment per year.
– NC Licensure and DEA paid by GMC.

Retirement- employer contributions- eligible on first anniversary of employment start date that includes at least 1000 hours of service. GMC will contribute 6 % of gross wages if you contribute 3 % or more bi-weekly.
