Position Description

The [Oregon Washington Network Rural](https://www.rcorp-ta.org/grantees/implementation/implementation-i-oregon-washington-health-network “https://www.rcorp-ta.org/grantees/implementation/implementation-i-oregon-washington-health-network”) (OWhN) Opioid Response Implementation Project is a three year effort to address high rates of opioid use and deaths in Northeast Oregon and Southeast Washington.

OWhN is seeking a full-time Family Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Associate to provide primary care and other services to clients seen in our newly established community outpatient clinic located in Hermiston, OR, as well as an office located in Pendleton, OR.

This position will include completing patient assessments in an outpatient setting and mobile clinic, perform or request diagnostic tests, completion of treatment plans, and prescribing medication to include ongoing drug reconciliations. This position will also complete other duties within the scope of work of the implementation grant including patient and community education, pain management, support for other practitioners to provide medication assisted treatment, and coordination with the project’s other staff as well as implementing evidence-based practices.

MAJOR DUTIES: The major work duties of the Family Nurse Practitioner/PA for the Oregon Washington Rural Opioid Response Implementation Project are described below:

* Provide primary health care and medication services to clients of the project’s
* Outpatient office or mobile clinic;
* Complete treatment plans and referrals;
* Educate patients on the risks of opioid addiction and provide pain management services;
* Complete appropriate diagnostic testing or refer patients for these procedures;
* Complete patient records and document prescribed treatments or recommendations;
* Prescribe medications for patients to include drug reconciliations on a recurring basis;
* Participate in community activities and provide medication assisted treatment as required.

Education & Experience Requirements:

* Licensed as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the State of Oregon or
* Licensed as a Physician Assistant in the State of Oregon
* A minimum of two years of experience as clinical family nurse practitioner (negotiable)
* Ability to provide crisis counseling to clients and families affected by opioids

Work Schedule:

Weekdays (8-5)

Compensation:

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: From $80.00- $115.00 per hour

Compensation Range:

$50,000 – $100,000
