Psychiatric Mental Health Provider

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Provider to join our healthcare facility. Psychiatric Mental Health Providers work with individuals and families assessing their mental health needs. The Psychiatric Mental Health Provider provides diagnosis, plan of care, implementing and evaluating their mental health needs, evaluating for its effectiveness, and offering their full scope of therapeutic skills, including the prescription of medication and administration of psychotherapy.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Provide a comprehensive assessment of patients.
2. Interview patients to obtain insight into their problems.
3. Make referrals for further diagnostic psychological/medical testing as needed.
4. Provide individual pharmacologic therapeutic interventions as necessary.
5. Provide crisis intervention as needed.
6. Provide appropriate patient assessment, planning, and implementation/evaluation in accordance with the Standards of Care.
7. Prepares and maintains documentation, records, and reports in accordance with policy and procedures for Freeman Recovery Center, LLC.
8. Works in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
9. Completes the history of the present illness and reviews past histories and social work evaluations.
10. Establishes treatment plans for each patient.
11. Communicate with patients and others to obtain information pertinent to the development of adjustment difficulty and to ascertain probable impact on the individual patient.
12. Available for on-call as scheduled.

Education and Experience, degree and/or certification required (if applicable):

* Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, unrestricted license in the State of Tennessee

* Advanced Practice Nurse, Licensed in the State of Tennessee.

* Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Tennessee.

* Physician Assistant, unrestricted license in the State of Tennessee

* MD or DO, unrestricted license in the State of Tennessee

* CPR certification.

* Master of Science in Nursing.

* Complete Adult Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner training program that is accredited by the State of Tennessee, State Board of Nursing Examiners.

* Have a strong dedication to a wellness lifestyle.

* Skillfully work in a self-motivated and independent manner.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Be able to establish empathy and a person-centered approach to patients.

Work Schedule:

Weekdays (8-5)

Compensation Range:

$100,000 +
