Job Summary and Qualifications

The cardiac Cath lab RN, under supervision of the Supervisor of the Cardiac
Cath Lab and Director of CV services is responsible for performing the daily
operations for the cardiac Cath lab. The CCL RN is responsible for direct and
indirect patient care, assists the Physician during procedures, responsible to
circulate cases, scrubbing diagnostic and interventional procedures and
hemodynamic monitoring. Patient care functions will be performed in accordance
with the nurse practice act in a manner consistent with the mission and goals
of the organization. Provides patient education of Cath lab procedures.
Maintains quality of technical and nurse duties and adheres to department and
hospital policies and procedures in a manner consistent with the missions and
goals of the organization.

• Participates as an active member of the health care team and positively promotes the rest of the team to patients/families/caregivers and other colleagues.
• Maintains a professional appearance and demonstrates behaviors consistent with established policies/procedures

# What Qualifications You Will Need:

* Advanced Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date)
• RN Licensure – Compact or State of Texas
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) Degree
• Ability to read arrhythmias
• 2+ years of experience in an acute care setting (Required)
• 1 – 2 years Cardiac Cath Lab experience and/or 2+ years CVICU/CCU/ER/IR critical care experience (Required)
