Job Summary and Qualifications

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing. ADN Required. BSN preferred.
• Minimum one year previous OR experience.
• Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse. Texas State RN license or compact license is accepted; Texas State RN license required 30 days after hire.
• Certified in CPR/BLS from ARC or AHA
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees.
• Knowledgeable of hospital policies and procedures specific to operating room nursing.
• Clinically proficient in operating room nursing skills, demonstrating knowledge of the development needs of the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient.

Medical City North Hills is a 165+ bed hospital located in the heart of
