Position Description
Duties to include for Part-Time:
• Three days will be spent working in the Manton Schools Wellness Center and one day in the Mesick Schools Wellness Center.
•Working independently, provides mental health therapy in a school-based health center.
• Responsible for mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, psychotherapy, groups, and referrals to agencies for students who attend Manton and Mesick Public Schools.
• Eligible for NHSC Loan Reimbursement. ($25,000 over two years)
Duties to include for Full-Time:
• In addition to the three days working at Manton in the school-based clinic, will also work at the Mesick school-based clinic for two days per week. (5 days per week total)
• Eligible for NHSC Loan Reimbursement. ($25,000 over two years)
Education & Experience Requirements:
Specific qualifications and educational requirements:
• Masters level graduate of an accredited school of social work, counseling, or related program.
• Licensed Master of Social Work or Licensed Professional Counselor by State of Michigan. (Will consider a Limited Licensed Counselor or a Limited Master of Social Work.)
• Experience providing child/adolescent/family counseling or social work.
• Communication skills necessary to interact appropriately with children/parents/guardians, co-workers, school staff, and the public.
Work Schedule:
Weekdays (8-5)
