dedicated Scrum Master like you to be a part of our team.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Scrum Master will facilitate the Scrum process for a designated team
(pod), ensuring smooth workflow, removing obstacles, and coaching team members
on agile methodologies. This role is critical for driving the team’s adoption
of agile principles, optimizing productivity, and aligning the team’s work
with business goals. The Scrum Master will serve as a facilitator, driving
continuous improvement and fostering a culture of collaboration and
accountability within the team.
This will be a fully on-site position at our Nashville Corporate office.
Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate the Scrum process and ensure adherence to agile principles within the pod.
  • Plan and lead daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring full team engagement.
  • Assist the Product Owner in managing the product backlog, prioritizing tasks, and aligning work with business objectives.
  • Identify and remove obstacles that hinder the team’s progress, ensuring smooth workflow and productivity.
  • Monitor pods’ usage of agile software tools and work with Agile Coaches to improve adoption / utilization.
  • Educate and mentor team members on agile methodologies and best practices to enhance their understanding and application.
  • Track team performance metrics and progress toward sprint goals, providing transparency and encouraging continuous improvement.
  • Create a collaborative and supportive environment, promoting open communication and problem-solving within the team

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Scrum Master certification

Experience

  • 1-4 years experience acting as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a fast-moving tech environment, preferably within healthcare, or 3+ years in Project Management with experience working in complex, cross-functional teams and holding a Scrum Master certification (Required)
  • Deep knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt experience to new and evolving environments.
  • Demonstrated Successfully organized and led Scrum events (e.g., daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives).
  • Proven experience coaching agile principles to teams unfamiliar with the practices.
  • Familiarity with agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.

  • Ability to foster a culture of openness, transparency, and collaboration.

Performance Expectations

  • Maintain a high level of team engagement and ensure all Scrum ceremonies are conducted effectively and on schedule.
  • Ensure obstacles are addressed promptly, allowing the team to meet their sprint goals.
  • Continuously coach and mentor the team on agile best practices, leading to improved understanding and performance.
  • Work closely with the Product Owner to ensure the team’s work aligns with business objectives and priorities.
  • Provide regular updates on team performance metrics and make data-driven recommendations for process improvements.

  • Nashville, TN area (near Centennial Park)
  • In office M-F
