Position Description

Our Community Health Center is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our not-for-profit, federally qualified health center (FQHC). The Pharmacy Technician provides patients with friendly, efficient, and timely delivery of prescribed medications ordered by a provider. Training may be performed by Pharmacy Tech II or III.

We are seeking a health care professional who has a compassionate heart for serving others with positivity and dignity. They must also possess stewardship and a supportive and collaborative initiative toward the diverse community we serve.

Responsibilities:

Exudes professionalism and positive customer service to all patients, visitors, and employees in all clinic areas and on the phone.

Operates cash register and all tenders of payment, and balances register.

Processes prescriptions in computer system, screens program eligibility, clarifies issues with prescribing information, and performs accurate documentation.

Prepares deliveries and mailings.

Stocks new inventory and removes expired inventory from shelves.

Collaborates with providers for patient care, including guidance from Tech II or III.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent

Valid Kansas Pharmacy Tech License

Complete all required CEU’s

Successful completion of the Pharmacy Technician I checklist within 90 days of hire

Schedule: Full-time
