We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for our team to ensure that we

Job Summary and Qualifications

_* This is a PRN position, hours are typically 8:00am – 4:30pm and may
include both weekdays and weekend shifts *_

The Speech Therapist provides high-quality, patient-centered care by
developing and conducting individualized therapy programs for patients with
communication, cognitive, and/or swallowing impairments. As a member of the
health care team, the Speech Therapist performs comprehensive patient
assessments and establishes appropriate treatment goals. The Speech Therapist
serves as an educator to patients, families, students and colleagues.
What you will do in this role:

  • You will conduct a subjective assessment of assigned patient’s speech language abilities during spontaneous conversation. You will administer objective tests to assess patient’s communication assets and liabilities.
  • You will structure and implement individualized patient program to improve communication abilities.
  • You will evaluate patient regularly during treatment and adjust program as needed to maximize patient progress.
  • You will document progress in patient’s chart. You will complete notes, charges, discharge notes and patient communication.
  • You will consult with Program Director and Rehab Physician/Medical Director regarding pre-screen assessments and physician consultations to determine appropriate placement of potential patients.
# What qualifications you will need:

* Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred

  • Licensed by TX State Board of Speech and Language Pathologists
  • ASHA certification required
  • Current BLS issued by the American Red Cross or American Heart Association
  • 1-2 years experience highly preferred

dedicated cardiac emergency room. Medical City Spine Hospital has 25+ beds. It
provides spine care for common spine disorders. Spine care is also provided
for rare, hard-to-treat spinal deformities. Those include adult and pediatric
scoliosis and spondylolistheses. We offer complex spine surgery and minimally
invasive surgical options.
