What you will do:

The Dentist at Community Health and Dental Care, Inc. will deliver high-quality preventative and restorative procedures in accordance with dental standards of care and Pennsylvania licensing guidelines. Responsibilities include conducting patient interviews and exams, diagnosing oral health conditions, and providing professional dental services to a diverse patient population.

Duties include but are not limited to:

* Interviews and examines walk-in pediatric patients, completing oral exams, dentition charting, and diagnosis.
* Develops and reviews individualized treatment plans with pediatric patients, performing necessary follow-up exams and emergency dental procedures.
* Orders and interprets radiographs, performs routine restorations, fluoride therapy, sealant applications, and conservative periodontal therapy.
* Provides patients with education on oral hygiene, dental health, and the importance of continued care.
* Performs extractions, endodontic procedures, and installs dental prosthetics as needed.
* Complies with OSHA regulations and adheres to CHDC clinical and administrative policies and procedures.
* Maintains high productivity levels, meeting CHDC standards for patient encounters and visits per patient.
* Documents medical history, updates annually, and completes necessary referrals to specialists.
* Records legible progress notes, prescriptions, and medical alerts in patient charts, ensuring timely billing and encounter completion.

Core Requirements:

* Qualifications, Education, and Knowledge
* Graduate of an approved dental school.
* Possesses a current license to practice dentistry in the State of Pennsylvania
* Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience as a practicing dentist preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal and oral and written communication skills are required.
* This position requires travel to, but not limited to, all CHDC sites, including meetings, off-site retreats, conferences, workshops, and outreach functions.
* Valid PA Driver’s License required
* Maintenance of state minimum insurance requirements.

Compensation:

$80 – $85/hour

Part-Time, non-exempt
