Job Summary of the Vascular Technologist
Responsible for performing diagnostic procedures through the use of
ultrasonography techniques to include to perform vascular exams. Demonstrates
anatomy for interpretation by a Cardiologist/Radiologist. Exercises
professional judgment in performance of services.
Qualifications of the Vascular Technologist
_EDUCATION:_
* Certificate of successful completion from an accredited school of vascular ultrasound.
- Associate Degree in Diagnostic Ultrasound
_EXPERIENCE:_
- One year of vascular imaging experience/ultrasound experience.
_LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: _
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
- Preferred: ARDMS in AB, OB/GYN and/or BR or RDCS by ARDMS or CCI
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
